Lag B’Omer

Literally the 33rd day of Homer. A holiday commemorating the day of the death of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. Modern Jewish tradition also associates the holiday with the Bar Kochba's revolt against the Roman Empire. (132 - 135 CE). In Israel, it is celebrated as a symbol of the bravery of the Jewish spirit.
